Australian Tibetan Buddhist Nun

Tencho received her first level Ordination at Bodhgaya, India with Lama Zopa Rinpoche in December

  1. Following Retreat & Study in Nepal and Dharamsala, she received her next level Ordination Vows from His Holiness Dalai Lama in 2000 and continued to live there for 2 years. Returning to Australia in 2002 she undertook 7 years of Formal Buddhist Philosophy Study at Chenrezig
    Institute QLD, successfully earning permission to teach Tibetan Buddhism and Meditation Classes, Rituals and Retreats within Australia and Overseas.
    From 2009 – 2018 she was the Director of Kunsang Yeshe Retreat Centre located in the Blue Mountains, NSW, teaching and developing a broad program of Buddhist Philosophy, Meditation & Sacred Art Classes for both children and adults.
    After a trip to Tibet in 2019, Tencho decided on a change of pace and moved to the Northern Rivers, NSW where she lives with her long time companion cat Nyinje (compassion cat). It’s here that she continues her work with Dolls4Tibet – a Social Enterprise for Tibetan Women Refugees, selling their products at local markets. She also runs local Meditation Classes and is now offering her new venture:
    Redrobes – Buddhist Rituals for Life’s Big Moments including Naming Ceremonies, House Blessings,
    Commitment Ceremonies, Funerals & Memorials.
    She’s delighted to be attending the Starlight Festival in Bangalow for the very first time conducting Tibetan Spiritual Naming Ceremonies for both Children and Adults as well as Auspicious Blessing Rituals for Dispelling Obstacles and Clearing Energy for Good Health & Well-Being.
