Silvia was born in S. Quirico Valleriana, in the mountains of the Swiss Pesciatina in Tuscany, and has been a lifelong lover of the ocean. Her childhood was filled with movement—artistic gymnastics, dance, volleyball, athletics, and skiing. As she grew older, her passion for sport expanded to include yoga, which she first discovered around ten years ago while spending time in what she calls her second home, Byron Bay.
After nearly a decade of travelling and living around the world in search of herself and her purpose, Silvia realised the answer had always been within. Alongside completing a degree in Sports Science, she embarked on the path of becoming a Yoga Instructor, finding her true resonance with Odaka Yoga—love at first practice. For Silvia, Odaka Yoga is a soulful journey that embodies the natural flow of life with awareness and joy, and this is the essence she hopes to share with her students.
Her training began in Iyengar and Hatha Yoga in Byron Bay, where she gained certification in traditional practice before moving deeply into Odaka Yoga. After her foundational certification, she further specialised in Prenatal and Kids Yoga, Trauma-Informed Yoga, Art of Adjustment, Pranayama Flow, Zen Warrior, and Fascia Flow techniques. Since September 2021, Silvia has been part of the Odaka Yoga Teacher Training team, serving as an assistant.
Teaching Method:
In Silvia’s classes, students are guided to practise with lightness, naturalness, and love—towards themselves and those around them—cultivating the strength and softness of true warriors of kindness.
